Open a new tab. See your life. New Tab with Google Photos turns every new tab into a full-screen photo from your own Google Photos. Choose your favorites or any album, and the people, places and moments that matter become part of an ordinary day. No stock photography, no mountain you have never stood on, and not one picture a day: a new one on every tab. Around the photo sits the rest of your day, and every part of it is optional: your calendar, your tasks, notes, bookmarks, the weather, a focus timer with a site blocker, and a minute to breathe. Nothing is held back for a higher tier and there is no locked panel to click past. Turn off whatever you do not use, and if all you want is a photo and the clock, that is exactly what you get. Then the page arrives all at once and the cursor is already waiting in today's focus. It takes a few seconds and a single click skips it. Some mornings the photo has a reason. Taken seven years ago this week, or someone's birthday from your calendar, and the tab says so. FOCUS MODE Choose a length and press Start. The page clears to your photo, a timer and a sound designed to fade into the background. Name the sites that pull you away and they stay blocked until the timer ends. Pause whenever you need to, and pausing offers you the break. Go full screen with one click. A MOMENT TO BREATHE When the day gets loud, press Breathe. Your own photographs wash across the screen while you take ten slow breaths. Then one question: what are you most grateful for today? Write a line, look at what is left of your day, add or tick off a task, and say what your plan is. One minute, three or five, and it never starts on its own. What you write comes back. When that photo comes round again, or one with the same people or the same place, your words take the quote's place, with your name and the date under them. MAKE IT YOURS The tab is as good as the albums behind it. Pick the ones that bring you the most joy, a trip, a year, the kids, and every new tab is drawn from them. Change your mind whenever you like. YOUR PHOTOS STAY YOURS Pick your Google account and your favorites start rotating. Add any album whenever you want. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, and access to Google Photos is read-only. The extension cannot change, move or delete anything in your library. Photos are cached on your computer so new tabs load instantly and keep working offline. The cache is removed when you uninstall. See when and where a photo was taken, then open it in Google Photos with one click. PRIVACY BY DESIGN No separate account or password is required. The optional site blocker asks for website access only when you turn it on, and everything it checks happens on your computer. ONE THING AFTER YOU INSTALL Chrome will ask whether you meant to change your new tab page. Choose "Keep it" and your photos will be waiting on every tab.
