Stores local TOTP secrets and shows masked one-time codes with live expiration.

TOTP Secret Vault is a lightweight Chrome extension for storing authenticator (TOTP) secrets on your device and generating one-time codes when you need them. Why use it • Local-only vault — secrets stay in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile • Masked codes on screen (for example 12**34) so shoulder-surfing is harder • Live countdown and progress bar for the standard 30-second TOTP window • One-click Copy puts the full current code on the clipboard • Manual add or JSON import/export for backup and migration • No account, no sync service, no analytics, no network calls by the extension How to use 1. Click the toolbar icon to open the popup 2. Add a secret (Base32) with a name, or import a JSON array 3. When a site asks for a 2FA code, press Copy on the matching account 4. Paste the code into the login form Notes • Codes are generated with standard TOTP (HMAC-SHA1, 6 digits, 30 seconds) • Optional “Tech info” field can store an otpauth:// URI or other notes • Export JSON includes name, secret, and techInfo — keep backups private • Clearing extension data deletes the vault Permissions • storage — save secrets locally • clipboardWrite — copy codes when you choose This extension is intended for personal productivity and secure local 2FA code access. It does not replace a hardware security key and does not protect secrets from someone who already has access to your unlocked browser profile.
