Keep a searchable record of what you copy without sending text to a website or cloud account. Clipboard Manager is a focused Chrome extension for local clipboard history. It saves recent copies on your device, lets you find them quickly, and puts a chosen item back on the clipboard in one click. Clipboard Manager is built around one primary workflow: monitor copies, browse history, search, and paste again. Supporting options stay secondary: mark favorites, paste from the context menu in editable fields, open the side panel, or use keyboard shortcuts for the latest items. The interface stays compact so history is always one click away. How it works 1. Enable clipboard monitoring when you want history saved. Turn monitoring on from the popup header. When monitoring is off, the extension does not add new items. 2. Browse your local history Open the popup or side panel to see recent copies in reverse chronological order. Scroll through the virtualized list even when you have many entries. 3. Search past items Use the search field to filter history by text. Find a link, snippet, or note you copied earlier without re-copying from the source page. 4. Copy or paste again Click an entry to copy it back to the clipboard. Use keyboard shortcuts for the first three items, or paste from the context menu when that option is enabled in settings. 5. Save favorites Star important clips so they stay easy to reach in the Favorites tab and in the context menu submenu. Useful for everyday work • Recover text you copied and then overwrote by mistake. • Reuse URLs, commands, or code snippets without hunting the original tab. • Keep frequently pasted phrases in favorites for faster access. • Paste from history into forms and text fields through the context menu. • Work in the side panel while keeping the main window clear. The extension does not require an account for local history. Settings let you adjust limits, sort order, theme, and optional paste-from-menu behavior. 🔒 Local storage and privacy Clipboard Manager is designed for local-first clipboard history. • Copied text is stored on your device through Chrome extension storage. • History is not uploaded to DiMarket servers for the local workflow. • Monitoring can be turned off at any time. • You can delete individual entries from history. • Clipboard access is used only to read new copies when monitoring is enabled and to write a selected item back when you choose to copy or paste. Permissions are used for the features above: clipboard read/write for history, storage for saved items and settings, context menus and scripting for optional paste into editable fields, offscreen document for clipboard polling in Manifest V3, and side panel for an alternate view mode. Important notes Clipboard Manager saves text you copy while monitoring is enabled. Do not use it to store passwords or other secrets you do not want kept in browser storage.
