Osamukun — Text Templates & Snippets
Overview
Save the text you reuse, search it, and copy it with one click. Bulk-import from CSV or TSV. Works fully offline.
Osamukun keeps the text you write over and over in one place, so you can find it and copy it in a couple of seconds. It was built for email templates, but anything you retype counts: greetings, status formats, support replies, prompts for an AI chat. It lives in the browser side panel, so your inbox or the form you are filling in stays open while you look something up next to it. ■ What it does ・Type in the search box and it narrows down by title, body and category ・Click an entry and its body goes straight to your clipboard ・"Full text" opens the whole thing — you can read, edit, save and copy it there ・Filter by category. Categories build themselves from what you have saved ・It works from the keyboard alone: the search box is focused when it opens, ↑↓ to move, Enter to copy, Esc to clear ・Switch it to a separate window whenever you want. You choose the size and position, so you can keep it in front of apps outside Chrome ・The interface is available in English and Japanese, following your Chrome language setting ■ Bring your spreadsheet with you ・Select three columns in your spreadsheet — category, title and body — copy them, and paste them in ・CSV and TSV files can be read directly, either by choosing a file or dropping it in ・Export as CSV, TSV or JSON. What you export can be read straight back in ・If you already keep your templates in a spreadsheet, moving over takes a minute ■ Nothing is lost by accident ・Saving, adding, deleting and importing can each be taken back — the last one is always kept ・Right after you save, an "Undo" appears next to what you saved ・When you only opened something to read it, no save button appears, so an accidental edit is visible before it becomes permanent ■ About privacy This extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It contains no networking code at all. What you save stays on your own computer. It asks for two permissions: sidePanel and storage. It does not ask to read the pages you visit. ■ One thing to know Osamukun copies to your clipboard rather than typing into the field for you. You click, then paste. That is a deliberate choice — inserting text into a page requires permission to read that page, and this extension does not ask for it.
