Companion for HashHackCode Academy workshops: open tasks, send screenshots, answer quizzes, chat with your group and ask a mentor.

HashHackCode Academy is the Chrome extension for HashHackCode workshops. Students follow the lesson, send their work and ask for help without leaving the page they are building — Canva, a code editor, or their own website. FOR STUDENTS Join your session with the passcode your mentor shows, then: • see each task as your mentor opens it, with its slides one click away • capture screenshots of your work and send them for review • answer quick quizzes, including picture questions • chat with everyone in your session, and ask a mentor privately FOR MENTORS Sign in with your HashHackCode mentor account to: • open tasks for the room, one step at a time • switch each task's quiz on and off • see who has joined, who is online and how much work is waiting for review • keep the group chat going Mentors review screenshots and answer questions in the HashHackCode Workshop Console on the website. HOW TO OPEN IT Click the extension icon, press Alt+Shift+H, or use the round # button in the corner of any web page. You can hide the # button in one click. WHO IT IS FOR HashHackCode Academy is for students and mentors in HashHackCode workshops. You need a session passcode from your workshop, or a mentor account, to use it. Screenshots are taken only when you press Capture. The extension does not read the pages you visit or your browsing history.
