Auto Clear History on Exit

Clear Chrome history and selected browsing data on exit, with automatic retry on the next startup.

Automatically clear Chrome browsing history when you finish browsing. Choose what to delete, keep cookies for trusted sites, and check the last-cleanup report. Auto Clear History on Exit starts cleanup when the last Chrome window closes. If Chrome shuts down before cleanup finishes, the extension retries on the next startup. Cleanup is not guaranteed to finish before Chrome exits. Start with browsing history only The default mode deletes local browsing history without deleting cookies. Add cache, cookies, download history, form data, or local storage when you need them. Saved passwords are never deleted. What you can do • Choose Safe, Standard, or Strong mode, or select individual data types. • Exclude trusted domains from cookie deletion with Keep login. • Check when cleanup last ran and which data types it cleared. • Pause automatic cleanup for 30 minutes, 1 hour, the rest of today, or until you resume. • Use Clear Now for manual cleanup. Useful when you share a computer or want to stop clearing your local browsing history by hand. Privacy Browsing URLs are not stored or sent by the extension. Settings stay in this browser. Before enabling cookie cleanup Cookie cleanup is off by default. Deleting cookies can sign you out of websites, including Google, and may pause Chrome Sync. Add domains to Keep login before enabling it. Keep login protects cookies for selected domains. It does not protect other data types you choose to clear, such as local storage, so it cannot guarantee that every login will be preserved. This extension deletes local Chrome browsing data, not search history saved to your Google Account. Manage that separately in Google's Web & App Activity settings. Deleting cookies does not remove the Google Account from your Chrome profile. Cleanup notifications A completed exit cleanup is reported as such. If only its notification is delayed until the next startup, the message says the data was already cleared on the previous exit. If cleanup itself was unfinished, the extension retries at startup and reports completion after the removal APIs succeed.
