Overview

Highlight websites and PDFs, add notes and tags, export to Obsidian, Notion, CSV, JSON, and sync with Google Drive.

Lumina is a focused web and PDF highlighter for researchers, students, writers, analysts, and anyone who collects ideas while browsing. Highlight text on any website, attach notes and tags, reopen your saved highlights in a clean dashboard, and export your research to the tools you already use. Lumina helps you turn scattered reading into an organized, searchable knowledge library. What you can do with Lumina: - Highlight text on web pages with clear, readable colors. - Add notes and tags to keep context beside each highlight. - Open local PDF files in the built-in PDF viewer and annotate important passages. - Search, filter, and review every saved highlight in the Lumina dashboard. - Export highlights as Markdown for Obsidian, CSV for Notion or spreadsheets, and JSON for backup. - Sync your highlight library with Google Drive so your research can move with you. - Block the highlighter on sites where you do not want selection popups. - Keep working locally first; Google Drive sync is optional. Built for real research workflows: Lumina is useful when reading academic papers, legal documents, market research, documentation, long articles, product pages, and reference material. Instead of losing useful passages in tabs, screenshots, or scattered notes, save them with source links, tags, and notes you can find later. Privacy and control: Your highlights are stored in your browser. If you connect Google Drive, Lumina uses Drive sync to back up and restore your own highlight data. Lumina does not sell your data and does not transfer it for unrelated purposes. Export-friendly by design: Use Markdown for Obsidian, CSV for Notion or Excel, and JSON for backup or migration. Your highlights should not be trapped inside one extension. Install Lumina if you want a lightweight web highlighter, PDF annotation tool, research notes manager, and Google Drive backup flow in one Chrome extension.
