WA Folders is for WhatsApp Web only. It runs on https://web.whatsapp.com in Chrome. It does not work in the WhatsApp mobile app, and it is not a WhatsApp Business / CRM clone. You get local folders, local search, and export of the chat you have open. Everything stays in this browser with chrome.storage.local. There is no account and no server for your chats. WHO THIS IS FOR If you use WhatsApp in the browser and want related chats in one place (Family, Work, Clients), this is for you. If you need bulk send, broadcast lists, auto-reply, contact CRM pipelines, or the WhatsApp Business API, this extension is not that product. FOLDERS Create, rename, and delete folders. A new install starts with Family, Work, and Clients. Open a conversation and add it to a folder, or remove it later. Use folders as a simple stand-in for labels when you want related chats in one place. SMART VIEWS Unread, Needs reply, and Unfiled sit above your folders in the on-page panel. Unread reads unread badges on chat rows that are currently visible in the WhatsApp Web list (the list is virtualized, so scroll to see more). Needs reply uses the last visible message direction for chats you have opened or indexed (inbound means they messaged last). Unfiled lists chats in the local index that are not assigned to any folder. Smart views are free to use and do not invent counts. LOCAL SEARCH Search chat titles and message text that WA Folders has already seen. The index updates while a chat is open. WhatsApp Web virtualizes the chat list, so only chats and messages that appear on screen can be indexed. Search does not send queries anywhere. EXPORT Export the open chat to HTML, CSV, or Markdown. The file downloads in this browser. Export uses the messages currently visible in the conversation, not a hidden archive on a server. FREE PLAN The free plan includes 3 folders, 5 search hits, and 3 exports per day. These limits are enforced on the device. Paid plans: $9.99/mo or $99 lifetime. Upgrade is in the toolbar popup. After you pay, paste your license key (starts with WAF-) to lift the free caps. Chat data still stays in chrome.storage.local. Card numbers are not stored in the extension. PRIVACY - Data stays in chrome.storage.local on this device. - No account and no sign-in to WA Folders. - No analytics, ads, or trackers. - No sale or sharing of chat data. - No remote servers and no WhatsApp Business API. - WhatsApp is not affiliated with this extension. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not run inside the WhatsApp mobile app. - It is not a CRM, inbox shared with a team, or Business API client. - It does not bulk send, broadcast, or auto-reply. - It does not recover deleted messages. - It does not scrape contacts beyond the chat list already on screen. - It does not call the WhatsApp Business API. - It does not upload your chats. HOW TO USE IT 1. Install WA Folders from the Chrome Web Store. 2. Open https://web.whatsapp.com and wait until your chats appear. 3. Use the WA Folders panel on the page to manage folders, search, and export. 4. Open a chat, then add it to Family, Work, or Clients (or a folder you create). 5. You can hide or show the panel at any time. WhatsApp Web restyles its page from time to time. If the panel cannot find the chat list, reload the tab. WA Folders is an independent tool.
