Overview

Allows an X (Twitter) user to hover over a message to read it, without marking it as read.

Have you ever received a new message on X and wanted to read the whole thing, without marking it as "read" in the message thread? Now you can! 🎉 With this extension, just go to the Messages page on X, then hover your mouse over each message box. The most recent message in the thread will appear to the right of the box. Features 🔎 Hover over messages to read the most recent one 🌗 Works with Light Mode and Dark Mode ✨ Long messages adjust to fit on the page 🦕 Heads up This extension can only read the text already loaded on the page for the preview that X shows you. X may shorten long messages. This extension can't look back to previous messages before the most recent one. 🤔 Something not working? X updates can occasionally cause issues. If you run into a problem, please report it by opening a GitHub issue. https://github.com/willbraun/x-message-preview/issues 🤝 Want to connect? Shoot me a message on X at @WillBraunDev.
