Apex Download Manager
Overview
Send downloads to Apex Download Manager: multi-connection speed, pause/resume, scheduling.
Apex Download Manager is a free, native Windows download manager. This extension hands your browser's downloads to the Apex app, which splits each file across up to 32 connections, resumes interrupted transfers from the exact byte they stopped at, and can verify checksums before you run what you downloaded. What it does - Automatic capture: click a download link, approve it in Apex, and the transfer starts there. - Right-click any link, image, video, or audio file for "Download with Apex". - Cookies and the referring page are handed over for the file being downloaded, so downloads behind a login work correctly. - Safe fallback: if Apex is not running, or declines the download, it simply restarts in the browser. Nothing is ever lost. - Pause and resume that survives a restart, plus queueing, scheduling, and speed limits, all handled by the app. Privacy - No tracking, no analytics, no accounts. - The extension registers no content scripts and reads no page content. - It makes no requests to any remote server. It communicates only with the Apex app running on your own computer at 127.0.0.1, and only after you pair the two with a token you approve inside the app. Requires the free Apex Download Manager app for Windows: https://apex-download-manager.vercel.app Getting started 1.
