Edge removed Collections? Get them back, and import your old ones. Save pages, drag links, text and images into a side panel.

Edge removed Collections in version 149. This brings them back, in Edge and in Chrome, and imports the collections you already had. Collections is a side panel for keeping what you find while you browse. Press "Save this page" to keep the tab you are on. Drag a link, a selected passage or an image from any page into the panel. Or right-click anything and choose "Save to Collections". Everything lands in the collection you are working on: a trip, a purchase you are comparing, a project you are researching. Coming from Edge Collections Settings has "Import from Edge Collections". It reads the collections_export.csv Edge let you download, or the collectionsSQLite database Edge left in your profile folder, which also brings back the pictures the export never had. Names, links, notes and images come across. Nothing is merged or overwritten. No account is required. If you turn on Sync with Google in Settings, your collections are kept in sync across the browsers where you sign in, and you can share a collection as a read-only page or delete the synced copy at any time. Collections replaces what Edge Collections and Pocket used to do for people who simply want a place to put things while they browse. It has no tags, no feeds and no AI features. It does one thing.
