VeLens is a free toolkit for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). It adds search, Data Extension dependencies, a better Query Studio and an AI assistant to the Marketing Cloud tabs you already use: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder and Contact Builder. SEARCH (Ctrl+Shift+K) - One search box for Data Extensions, journeys, automations, lists, emails, templates, content blocks, queries, filters, CloudPages, SMS and push. - Copy keys and IDs, see a Data Extension's fields and row count, and show folder paths without leaving the page. - Journeys show the live version next to any open draft. DATA EXTENSION DEPENDENCIES - Pick a Data Extension and see the SQL queries that write to it, the automations that run them and the journeys that use it as an entry source. - Check before you edit or delete, instead of opening automations one by one. QUERY STUDIO - Star a query tab to save it. Saved queries follow you across browsers and machines. - A Data Extensions picker that auto-joins on the shared field, a Data View explorer and a library of ready-made SFMC SQL. - SQL formatter, one-click comment removal, a resizable editor, dark mode and Ctrl+Enter to run. QUERY STUDIO 2 - Click Enable on the VeLens card in Query Studio 2 to add Saved Queries, Query Library, Data Extensions with auto-join, and Data Views. - The Explain & Optimize panel uses the last run's error and column names, never the rows, to explain what went wrong. AI CHAT - Ask in plain English: "Which automations errored last night?" or "Which journeys use this Data Extension?" - Answers come back as data cards from your account, and you can open every lookup it ran. - Anything that changes your account waits for you to click Confirm. - Explain or optimize a SQL query, and score a subject line and preheader. TEAM CONTROLS - Owners and admins choose which VeLens features each role can use. The rules are enforced on our server, not just hidden in the browser. - AI tools have their own switches. Subscriber engagement history stays off until an admin turns it on. HOW IT WORKS - Search and the in-page tools work right after install, using the Marketing Cloud session you are already signed into. - API features and AI turn on after you connect once, using standard OAuth through the VeLens Installed Package. An admin installs the package in your Marketing Cloud account once. - There is no Client ID or secret to paste. VeLens never sees your password, and you can revoke access at any time from Setup > Installed Packages or from the popup. YOUR DATA - The in-page tools run on your machine. Your session token never leaves your device. - AI features send selected email content and account metadata (such as automation names, Data Extension schemas and send metrics) to our backend and our AI providers, through the Vercel AI Gateway with zero data retention. The providers are named in our Privacy Policy. - Subscriber row data is never sent to AI.
