Doko-Hosting is a Chrome extension that answers one simple question in a single click: who is hosting this website? Open the site you want to check and click the Doko-Hosting icon. The popup shows the hosting provider the site most likely runs on, along with its CDN, email service, and DNS provider. Detection compares public DNS and WHOIS information with built-in patterns for hosting, cloud, CDN, DNS, and email services. It's free to use, with no account or setup required. WHAT IT SHOWS ◆ Web hosting See the hosting provider, cloud platform, or site builder the website most likely runs on. A 3-level confidence meter and a plain-language explanation, such as "Judged from the nameserver (NS)," make the basis of the result clear. ◆ CDN and origin When a site is delivered through a CDN, you see which CDN it uses. If public information provides enough clues, Doko-Hosting also shows a possible origin server behind the CDN. ◆ Email hosting See which service receives email for the domain, estimated from its MX and SPF records. Doko-Hosting also distinguishes between groupware, email security gateways, and self-hosted mail. ◆ Nameservers See which DNS provider manages the domain. This is useful before a server migration, domain transfer, or DNS configuration change. ◆ Technical details on demand Review A, CNAME, PTR, NS, MX, SPF, and WHOIS information organized by topic. Check MX, SPF, and NS records without opening a terminal or running a dig command. HOW IT WORKS AND PRIVACY Detection uses processing in your browser together with public DNS and WHOIS information. The extension does not send visited URLs or detection results to the developer's server. It does not track browsing history, run analytics, or show ads. To retrieve public DNS information, Doko-Hosting sends the hostnames and domain names needed for detection, along with reverse-DNS queries for server IP addresses, to Google Public DNS (dns.google). When retrieving IP registration information, it sends the server IP address to RIPE NCC (stat.ripe.net). To retrieve service icons, it sends the official website domain of the detected service to Google's favicon service. Favicon requests do not include the URL or hostname of the page you're viewing. None of this information is sent to the developer's server. NOTES This is an unofficial tool.
