Ubueno replaces a few words on the pages you already read with their equivalent in the language you are learning. You keep reading, and the foreign word is one the sentence lets you guess. That is the whole method: no lesson, no streak, no daily reminder. HOW IT WORKS • Read anything — an article, a documentation page, a recipe. A handful of words are swapped, two or three a paragraph, never more. • Guess from the sentence. If a word resists, click it: you get it explained inside the sentence it came from, not a dictionary entry, and you can hear it said. • Words come back — on other pages, on other days — until they hold. • Once you have met a word often enough, Ubueno asks you about it. Answer it and you have earned it: your answers open a piece of ground you tend, one card at a time. IT NEVER TOUCHES THE PAGE No banner, no injected button, no sidebar, nothing shifted by a pixel. The page you were reading stays exactly the page you were reading — that is the promise, and it takes ten seconds to check. Everything Ubueno shows lives in its own panel, which opens when you ask for it. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED It works the moment you install it. An account exists for two things only: finding your progress again on another computer, and carrying a subscription if you take one. And no notifications. Ever. Not one. LANGUAGES Read in English, French or Spanish. Learn English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Polish. FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT Free, for good: reading with substitutions, at every level of vocabulary; pronunciation; alternative translations; your notebook; the maps. Explanations come with a daily allowance, and the panel always tells you where you stand. 9.99 USD a month, or 99.99 USD a year: explanations without counting, and two further modes — groups of words, then whole clauses. Cancel in two clicks. Refunded on request within fourteen days. WHAT WE RECEIVE, AND WHAT WE DO NOT To replace a word we have to translate the passage it sits in, and that happens on our server. So the extension sends the reading text of the page — paragraphs, headings, quotations, lists. What you type is excluded at the root: input fields, forms and text areas are never read, not even as context. The page address passes through so that the extension can keep away from banking, payment and sign-in pages and respect the pauses you set; our technical logs keep only the domain, never the article. No cookies, no trackers, no advertising profile. We never sell, rent or trade data, to anyone. You can export everything we hold, or delete it outright, from the panel.
