Date on Hash on GitHub PR
Overview
Show commit dates beside commit hashes on GitHub pull requests, with relative times and local timestamps.
See when a commit was made without leaving your GitHub pull request. Date on Hash on GitHub PR adds a pale yellow timestamp beside commit hashes, combining a relative time with the actual date and time. Examples • Less than an hour old: 17 min ago · Oct 27, 11:33 • Between one hour and 24 hours old: 3 hr ago · Oct 27, 08:00 • At least 24 hours old: Oct 25, 16:40 Features • Shows the committer timestamp in your browser's local time zone. • Updates labels every minute and when you return to the tab. • Shows the original timestamp, including the year, seconds, and UTC offset, when you hover over a label. • Follows navigation within GitHub and handles commit links added after the page loads. • Adds dates to supported commit hash links on Conversation, Commits, and Files pages. Getting started Install the extension and reload any GitHub pull request tabs that are already open. No extension account or GitHub access token setup is needed. Site access and data handling The extension uses access to github.com so it can also work when you navigate into a pull request from another GitHub page. Timestamp processing and annotations are limited to pull request pages. It reads the current GitHub URL and GitHub pull request or commit page HTML in your browser to find commit hashes and timestamps. Retrieved HTML may contain GitHub usernames, commit messages, or code. Additional requests go to GitHub using your browser's normal GitHub sign-in state. The extension does not send this page information to developer servers, advertising services, or analytics services.
