Overview
Translate text to Morse code and back, right in your toolbar. Convert any selection, hear it, watch it flash. Works offline.
A full Morse code translator in your toolbar, and on every page you visit. Open the popup and type: text turns into Morse code as you go, and Morse code turns back into text. Press Listen to hear it at a real keying speed, or turn on Flash and the popup becomes a signal lamp keyed to the same timeline. It counts characters, signals, and how long the message takes to send. Select text on any page, right-click, and convert it without leaving the page. The result is copied to your clipboard and shown to you in a small toast. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Translate text to Morse code, and Morse code back to text - Convert a selection on any page from the right-click menu - Decode a selection that is already dots and dashes - Play any selection aloud as Morse code tones - Send a selection to the full toolkit on morsecodeconvert.com - Hear a message at 5 to 25 words per minute, the way it is actually keyed - Watch a message flash, for visual signalling practice - See character count, signal count, and transmission duration PRIVACY, IN PLAIN TERMS Nothing you type or select is uploaded. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no remote code. Every conversion runs on your own device, and the whole extension keeps working with the network switched off. The extension asks for no site access at all. It reads a page only in the moment after you pick one of its right-click items, using Chrome's activeTab permission, and it has no standing access to any site you visit. ACCURATE TIMING, NOT JUST DOTS AND DASHES Playback follows the standard Morse timing ratios: a dash is three dots long, the gap inside a character is one dot, between characters three, and between words seven. Speed is set in words per minute against the standard word PARIS, so 15 wpm here is 15 wpm anywhere. WHAT IT SUPPORTS The full International Morse Code alphabet: A to Z, 0 to 9, and eighteen punctuation marks. Period, comma, question mark, apostrophe, exclamation mark, slash, open and close parenthesis, ampersand, colon, semicolon, equals, plus, hyphen, underscore, quotation mark, dollar sign, and at sign. Words are separated by a slash, which is the convention the rest of the world writes in too, so a message you copy from here pastes cleanly into anything else. MADE BY Built alongside morsecodeconvert.com, a free Morse code toolkit with a translator, an alphabet reference, and learning guides. The extension is the same translator, without the trip to the website.
