Image Viewer Pro

)Overview
Click any image to zoom, rotate, flip and pan it. Works offline, collects no data.
I built this because I wanted an image viewer I could actually use at work. What I needed was simple: click an image, see it properly, zoom in without the page jumping around. What I wasn't willing to accept was an extension quietly sending my browsing somewhere. So I wrote one that doesn't. Image Viewer Pro makes no network requests. Not one. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no account to create, no ads. Everything happens on your own machine, and every line of code ships inside the package — nothing is loaded from a server, and nothing is minified or obfuscated, so anyone who wants to read it can. WHAT IT DOES Click any image on any page and it opens full screen. - Zoom from 10% to 1000% with the mouse wheel. The point under your cursor stays under your cursor. - Click and drag to pan, or use W A S D. The image can never be pushed off screen and lost. - Rotate 90 degrees either way with Q and E — or hold Shift and rotate freely, to any angle, straightening a crooked photo a few degrees at a time. - Flip horizontally or vertically. - Fit to screen, fill screen, or actual size. - Step through every image on the page with the arrow keys. - Filename, real dimensions and zoom level always visible — plus the exact angle whenever the image isn't square. - Save the image you are looking at. - Open a .jpg or .png directly in a tab and the viewer takes over automatically. - Press ? at any time for the full list of shortcuts, inside the viewer. HOLD SHIFT FOR PRECISION Shift is the one rule worth remembering. It makes almost everything finer: - Shift + Q / E rotate 5 degrees instead of 90 - Shift + wheel rotate freely, about 2 degrees a notch - Shift + Z / X zoom in small steps - Shift + W A S D pan in small steps - Shift + R straighten to the nearest 90 degrees, keeping your zoom KEYBOARD Q / E rotate right / left Z / X zoom in / out W A S D pan Arrow keys previous / next image Space next image H / V flip horizontal / vertical F fit to screen Shift + F fill screen 1 actual size R reset everything Ctrl + S save the image ? show all shortcuts Esc close Double-click toggles between fit and actual size. The mouse wheel zooms at the pointer. The keyboard belongs to the viewer while it is open. Shortcuts from the page underneath — including your own userscripts — do not fire, and the page gets them all back the moment you close it. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - No network requests of any kind - No analytics, telemetry or tracking - No accounts, no sign-in, no sync - No ads - No remote or hosted code - Your settings stay on your device and are never transmitted IF IT GETS IN YOUR WAY Click-to-open is convenient but it is not always wanted. Right-click and choose "Turn Image Viewer on/off for this site" to switch it off for that site only. You can also set it to double-click only, or turn automatic opening off entirely and use the toolbar button, from the options page.
