Cadence: Breaks from Scrolling & Streaming

Adds calm breaks to endless feeds and streaming, showing how long you've been at it this session.

Insert calm breakpoints into feeds and streams you scroll for longer than you meant to. Cadence pauses infinite-scroll feeds and video or livestream sites with a small on-page note showing how long it has been since your last check-in, then gets out of the way again. It paces the sites people actually lose time on, not just a generic timer running in the background. Pacing That Fits Each Site: • Scrolling feeds pace by how many posts pass, while video and livestream pages pace by minutes watched. • Choose Gentle, Standard, or Frequent to rescale every site at once, or set an exact cadence per site from the options page. A Break, Not a Wall: • The on-page note names how long it has been since your last check-in, then clears itself or waits for a dismiss. • Snooze pacing for 1, 2, or 3 hours right from the breakpoint or the toolbar popup, without turning Cadence off. • Turn on auto-dismiss so the note clears itself after a few seconds instead of needing a click every time. • The toolbar popup shows how close the current site is to its next break before one actually appears. • Choose how long a gap in visits should reset the running count back to zero: an hour, a day, or a week. See Your Own Patterns (Optional): • Turn on local activity stats to see break counts and time spent per site, by day, week, month, or year. • Click a legend entry to hide a site from the chart, or switch to an exact-numbers table view. • Stats stay off until you turn them on, and the table always keeps every site's numbers even if you have hidden it from the chart. Private by Design: • Pacing and page changes happen locally in your browser. • Local stats, when enabled, are stored only in Chrome and never sent anywhere. • Anonymous feature-use analytics, on by default, send only one-time milestones such as the first delivered break or first snooze, never page content or URLs, and can be turned off anytime from options. Cadence supports popular services including Reddit, YouTube, Netflix, and many more. Supported sites and their pacing can change as those services update their own pages.
