Overview

Records tracking requests, dataLayer pushes and consent changes, then exports the session as Markdown or JSONL.

Pulsecheck records one tracking scenario inside Chrome DevTools. It combines outgoing analytics requests, dataLayer pushes, consent changes and page navigation in one ordered timeline. Use it to: - verify which analytics events fired; - inspect the parameters sent with each event; - compare network hits with dataLayer pushes; - identify likely duplicate events; - see the consent state that applied when a request was sent; - follow the session on a timeline strip with page loads and findings marked; - watch duplicate, consent and masked-field checks update while you record; and - export the evidence as Markdown or JSONL. Pulsecheck decodes requests from common web analytics, ad pixel and conversion tags. Event-shaped first-party collectors are retained through a generic fallback instead of being silently dropped. The Markdown export contains session context, vendor inventory, automatic checks and the complete numbered timeline. JSONL contains the same event list as schema v1 for scripts and comparison tools. Recorded requests can contain personal data the inspected site sends, such as emails, phone numbers, user ids and IP addresses. Pulsecheck also records the page URL and reads your browser's user-agent string. Privacy: - no account, backend, telemetry or advertising; - no extension permissions; - sessions stay in memory and end when DevTools closes; a short buffer in the inspected page is cleared on pause or panel close, or by a 60-second fallback if the panel stops responding; - files are created only when you save or copy them; - detected personal identifiers are masked before export, while client ids, event ids and api_key are kept because the audit needs them; and - named credential and payment-secret fields are removed completely. Optional API context records only method, host, path, status and MIME type for non-static site requests. Request bodies and query strings are excluded. Pulsecheck is alpha software. Review exported sessions before sharing them.
