Export Substack comments to CSV, JSON, or Excel in a few clicks, directly from the article page.

Substack Comments Exporter is a browser extension that helps you export Substack comments to CSV, JSON, or Excel. It provides a practical way to save article discussions for review, research, and recordkeeping, without copying individual entries manually. The collection controls are available directly on the article page. A download button appears next to the comment count above the discussion, so you can begin from the content you are reading. How to use 1. Open a Substack article and find the download button next to the comment count above the discussion. 2. Click the button to start collecting. 3. When collection finishes or is paused, click Download Comments and choose CSV, JSON, or Excel. Choose a format for your work Use CSV or Excel to review reader feedback in a spreadsheet. Choose JSON when you need structured data for your own scripts or processing tools. Downloaded files can support tasks such as reviewing responses to an article, organizing research material, or keeping a local record for later reference. You can work with the results in your preferred software and choose the output format that suits your task. Save results after completion or pausing You can download the collected results when scraping finishes. If you pause the process, you can also save the data gathered so far without waiting for collection to complete. This can be useful when you want to review what has already been collected before continuing with your work. The resulting file gives you a local copy to open and use later. Data Privacy Comment collection and file generation take place locally in your browser. The collected data is saved to your device and does not pass through our servers. In-App Purchases Our Extension is a freemium product with a nominal subscription fee. With a paid subscription, you can download up to 20,000 comments at a time and receive premium support. The exact cost is displayed in the extension's interface, ensuring transparency and ease of understanding.
