Claude Export helps you save useful Claude conversations as readable documents, so your research, notes, and ideas remain accessible outside the browser. Create searchable PDF files, editable Word documents, or Markdown notes without manually copying and formatting each response. **What you can do** Save an individual answer or a selected conversation while preserving supported headings, tables, code blocks, links, and images. Preview documents before saving and choose which information to include. The free plan supports everyday exports without registration or payment details. Basic individual-response documents have no default watermark. You can also use browser-native printing and a limited number of full-conversation downloads. **More control with Pro** Pro adds flexible message selection, professional document templates, custom layouts, sensitive-information redaction, and bulk exporting. You can create full or incremental backups of selected conversations, resume interrupted jobs, and optionally organize retained content in a searchable local archive. Selected content can also be sent to your own Notion workspace when you explicitly choose that option. **Simple to use** Open a conversation on claude.ai, select the Claude Export control or extension popup, choose what to save, and create your document. **Privacy** Standard exports are generated locally in your browser. Conversation content is not uploaded to the Claude Export backend for document generation. Local archive retention is optional and disabled by default. The backend supports licensing, purchases, service operations, and optional consent-based product analytics.
