Unlike live translators that re-translate every time you open a page, LayerAI lets you collect page text into a translation list, batch-translate with AI, edit and save your wording; saved translations automatically replace the original text when you revisit the same page. ✨ Key features • Manual pick, current page, or whole-site collection → add to translation list • AI batch translation (BYOK, local Ollama, or hosted models) • Background translation queue for large site-wide jobs • Edit every entry yourself — you decide the final wording • With auto-replace on, saved translations apply on the page • Auto-apply on revisit — no repeated translation • Two replacement modes: - Exact match: replace by exact source text - Content match: intelligently match similar text 📦 Data & sync • Translation data is stored locally in your browser by default • Import / export JSON • Optional: LayerAI cloud sync, Google Drive backup (account sign-in required) 🔒 Privacy Core translation data stays on your device by default. With your own API key, text is sent to your chosen AI provider; with local Ollama, data never leaves your machine. We only communicate with layerai.yun and api.locallayer.tech when you sign in, enable cloud sync or backup, or use hosted AI models.
