Leif List helps you shop more sustainably without the homework. While you shop on Amazon or almost any other online store, Leif shows you how the brand rates, and points you to better-rated alternatives. No extra tabs. No research. Just a clear rating while you shop. HOW IT WORKS 1. Shop like you normally do, on Amazon or another store's website. 2. On Amazon, brands we rate well are marked right in your search results. 3. On any product page, click the Leif icon in your browser toolbar. 4. A small panel shows the brand's Leif rating. 5. Click "See Rating & Alternatives" to open the brand's full profile and find similar products from better-rated brands on leiflist.com. WHAT YOU'LL SEE • Leif rating: Likely Excellent, Likely Great, Likely Good or Likely Fair, so you can size up a brand at a glance. Brands without enough public information are marked "Limited info" instead of guessed at. • Ratings in search results: on Amazon, a small Leif label appears on products from brands we rate Good or better. You can switch it off in the panel. You can also choose to turn it on for Target and Walmart. • Better alternatives: open leiflist.com from the panel to compare brands and find similar products from more responsible companies. WHY LEIF? Most people want to shop more sustainably but don't have time to research every brand. Leif does the digging for you, drawing on public sources such as certifications, company disclosures and independent registries, so you can make an informed choice in seconds. On Amazon product pages, and on other stores when you click the Leif icon, the extension reads basic product details (brand, title and category) from the page and sends them to our backend services (Google Firebase, Google Cloud Functions and Algolia) to look up the brand's rating. When a brand can't be identified, an AI service may be used to identify it from the product title. Search-result labels work entirely in your browser: Leif downloads its list of well-rated brands and compares it with what's on the page. Nothing about the results you see is sent to us. Leif runs on Target or Walmart search results only if you turn that on and allow it in Chrome's prompt. We do not collect your browsing history, cart contents, order history or payment information.
