)Overview
Alarm clock, timer, stopwatch and world clock. Alarms ring with notifications even when the popup is closed.
Alarm Clock — Alarms, Timer, Stopwatch & World Clock, right in your browser Alarm Clock is a fast, private, all-in-one time toolkit that lives in your Chrome toolbar. Set reliable alarms that ring even when the popup is closed, run countdown timers and a lap stopwatch, keep an eye on cities around the world, and read a clean, customizable clock — all without leaving your browser and without sending any of your data anywhere. This release is a ground-up rebuild. The extension finally does what its name promises: it is a real alarm clock, not just a clock display. RELIABLE ALARMS THAT ACTUALLY WAKE YOU Create as many alarms as you like. Each alarm can be one-time or repeat on the days you choose, and every alarm has its own name and on/off toggle. Alarms are scheduled through Chrome's native alarm system and delivered as system notifications, so they fire on time even if the popup is closed and even after you restart your browser. When an alarm rings you can snooze it for a configurable number of minutes or dismiss it — dismissing a repeating alarm keeps its future schedule intact. Choose from several built-in tones, adjust the volume, and preview a tone before you commit to it. Sound is generated in the browser itself, so there are no audio files to download and nothing is streamed from the internet. A COMPLETE TIME TOOLKIT Alarm Clock is organized into clean tabs, so every tool is one click away: - Timer: start a countdown with quick presets; it keeps running in the background and still notifies you if you close the popup, so a kitchen or laundry timer never gets lost. - Stopwatch: time anything with lap support, perfect for workouts and study sessions. - World Clock: track the current time across multiple time zones at a glance, ideal for remote teams, family abroad, and travel. - Pomodoro: a built-in 25-minute focus preset to help you work in productive intervals. MADE YOURS Switch between 12- and 24-hour time, show or hide seconds, and pick a date format — all rendered with locale-aware formatting so dates and times look right wherever you are. Choose a light, dark, or system-matched theme with an accent color to match your style. Your alarms and settings are saved with Chrome sync, so they follow you across the devices where you are signed in. A full options page puts every setting in one place, and a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+K) opens the popup instantly. PRIVATE AND LIGHTWEIGHT BY DESIGN No account, no tracking pixels, and no remote content. Everything runs locally: the clock, the alarm engine, and the sounds. The extension is event-driven rather than polling in a loop, so it stays out of your way and off your CPU. AVAILABLE IN 43 LANGUAGES The entire interface — not just the store listing — is localized, with locale-aware dates and times throughout. WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION — FEATURES ADDED AND BUGS FIXED Major new features: - Real, reliable alarms with one-time and recurring schedules, snooze, and dismiss. - Alarms and timers that keep working with the popup closed, powered by background scheduling and system notifications. - Selectable tones, volume control, and tone preview, synthesized in the browser with no audio downloads. - A countdown timer, a lap stopwatch, a world clock, and a Pomodoro focus preset. - Settings that sync across devices, a full options page, themes with accent colors, 12/24-hour and seconds toggles, and a keyboard shortcut. - A fully localized interface across all 43 supported languages. Stability and quality fixes: - Fixed a critical performance bug in the old clock that created runaway, self-multiplying timers — the previous version could spike your CPU, leak memory, and make the popup stutter or crash. The new clock uses a single, efficient ticker. - Removed a third-party image that was loaded from an external server, so the extension now works fully offline, loads faster, and leaks nothing to outside services. - Replaced an outdated clipboard method and an intrusive blocking pop-up dialog with a modern approach and a gentle inline message. - Deleted heavy, unused code and a large unused styling library, dramatically shrinking the extension and speeding it up. - Corrected garbled translated text (for example a broken French description) and re-checked every language file. - Fixed styling and font glitches, improved accessibility with clearer labels and stronger color contrast, and hardened the code against errors. Whether you need a dependable morning alarm, a kitchen timer, a stopwatch for workouts, or a quick glance at the time in another city, Alarm Clock brings all of it together in one clean, private, and fast browser tool. Install it, set your first alarm a minute out, close the popup, and hear it ring.
