Kalven is a customized CRE prospecting tool for commercial real estate brokers. It runs in your own browser, inside the data platform you already subscribe to, under your own login. Set your role, market, asset focus and deal criteria once; Kalven applies them the same way on every run and hands you a ranked report. How a run works - You set the criteria and start the run from the Kalven side panel. - Kalven applies your filters in the platform's own search, then reads what is on screen for each property, one at a time, at a normal browsing pace, in your open tab. - Each batch is capped at 25 properties. You can stop at any point; a stopped run still saves what it has. - The written analysis for each property runs on your own API key. - Your report saves to your computer as an Excel workbook, an HTML report you can open in any browser or email, or both: a ranked property list, a contact list, source links for every row, and a session summary. What you bring - Your own subscription to a supported CRE data platform (currently CoStar). Kalven does not provide platform access. - Optional: your own TitlePro247 account, for title report links. - Your own Anthropic API key. You pay for API usage directly. - A Kalven subscription, for sign-in and billing. Privacy and data handling - Property, contact and financial data are held in browser memory during your run. They are never written to persistent storage, never synced, and never sent to Kalven's servers. - Kalven's servers (api.kalven.ai) handle sign-in, billing and subscription status, plus one usage summary per completed report: an event ID, your account ID, the number of properties processed, and whether the run was new or a continuation. No property data. - Your API key is stored in chrome.storage.local on your machine and is sent only as the authentication header to api.anthropic.com. Chrome does not encrypt storage.local at rest. - A local Recent Runs record (run IDs, timestamps, counts, status) is kept in your browser so you can resume an unfinished run. It contains no property data. - No advertising, analytics or crash reporting. - Full policy: kalven.ai/privacy.html What Kalven does not do - Does not bypass authentication on any platform or access data you are not already entitled to see. - Does not store, sell or redistribute platform data. - Does not run outside your open, signed-in browser session. Permissions - debugger: used only to enter the Property Size range when both a minimum and a maximum are set.
