Save social posts locally. Search your Library, download supported photos or videos, and create share images. Smylte keeps useful social posts in a searchable local Library. Download supported photos and videos, or save posts to find again later. Successfully saved text, previews and downloaded media remain viewable after the original is deleted, provided you keep your local copy. SAVE AND DOWNLOAD Import supported saved lists, bookmarks or like histories, publicly loadable original posts from a profile you choose, or supported exact links. Creator-page and collection imports are in beta. Available methods depend on the source and your access. You can also add pictures from your computer. Paste a supported post link to save an entry or download only photos or videos. Download-only actions do not add Library records. Preview up to 100 supported direct links before processing, and choose whether batch saves update or skip existing entries. Some sources require single-link actions. Download-only sources do not add their items to the Library. Where supported, comment saving offers Off, Top 5 by likes (default), or All loaded comments, capped at 5,000 per entry. Unloaded comments cannot be saved; collection limits are reported as Partial. Other sources have different comment support and limits. Follow download activity while work runs, then open a confirmed file's folder. Only confirmed downloads count as complete; failed, cancelled and unconfirmed outcomes stay separate. Video support varies by site and format. A cover image or unfinished download is not a saved video. FIND AND ORGANIZE Search saved text, recognized picture text and available saved replies. Optional meaning search runs on your device, with progress and Stop/Resume preparation. Its built-in model uses extra storage even when switched off; initial indexing takes time. Use filters, categories, tags, bulk category assignment, date sorting, Related posts and optional reminders. Image mode (beta) filters by color, aspect ratio and pixel dimensions; dimensions may refer to a saved preview. Open a matching picture to highlight recognized lines containing your search terms. Keep reusable passages in Text library and rearrange supported sidebar tabs, including nested tabs. PICTURE AND TEXT TOOLS Recognize and copy picture text locally, or assign a shortcut to select a webpage area. Automatic copying requires optional clipboard-write permission. Crop, draw, add path arrows or text, start with a resizable blank canvas, and undo or redo with shortcuts. Compare two pictures side by side; sliders and translucent overlays require equal image dimensions. The local privacy tool suggests lines containing possible email addresses or phone numbers to cover before exporting a new PNG. Recognition can miss private information: check the final preview yourself. SHARE AND BACK UP Create up to 10 PNG images from one saved entry's text and explicitly selected saved text comments. Adjust the text and choose whether to show author and source details; preview each image. Comments are excluded until selected, and the original record stays unchanged. Browse locally saved content offline. Full Backup & Restore includes available media; JSON export excludes downloaded media. Keep your local data and backups to protect your copy. PRIVACY AND LIMITS Storage, picture-text recognition and meaning search operate locally. No separate extension account, developer analytics or developer relay for saved content is used. Optional AI categorization sends relevant text from selected entries, author handles, recognized image text and allowed category names directly to Google Gemini using your own API key. Category merging sends existing and allowed category names. Provider limits or charges may apply. The developer does not receive your key or content. When you explicitly use your device's sharing function, selected files go to the person or app you choose. The extension uses your current browser session where needed and handles only supported content loaded during that run. Login requirements, private or unavailable content, blocked pages and site limits may stop processing. It does not bypass access controls or guarantee every video, reply or complete history. Some sources do not copy quoted-post media or reply bodies. This version does not save webpages. The interface supports English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Russian (Testing), Japanese and Korean. Formerly Post Library.
