Overview

A 90-second box-breathing micro-break in your toolbar. Zero accounts, zero network calls — everything stays on your device.

Click the toolbar icon and a small orb appears. It fills up while you breathe in, holds still, then empties as you breathe out. Four seconds each way. Do a few rounds and close it. You'll probably notice your shoulders dropped a little. That's the whole thing. No onboarding flow, no account, no dashboard to check later. Just the orb. Breathing patterns: - Box breathing (4·4·4·4) — the classic stress relief technique for calm and focus - 4-7-8 breathing — a longer exhale pattern used for anxiety relief and winding down before sleep - Quick two-count — a fast reset between calls or context switches Session lengths: 60 seconds, 90 seconds, or two minutes. Four calming visual themes: Dawn (warm amber), Forest (muted green), Dusk (soft violet), and Mono (neutral). A reduced-motion mode steps through phases instead of animating, for anyone who prefers that. Optional gentle reminder: a small dot on the toolbar icon, once an hour. Not a notification, just a nudge. Off by default. A weekly breath tally tracks your sessions locally and resets every Monday. Your data stays on your device: - No accounts and no sign-in - No analytics, no crash reporting, nothing phoning home - No content scripts — it can't see the pages you have open - Two permissions: storage (your settings and tally) and alarms (optional reminder). Nothing else. Most people already know breathing exercises help with stress — the hard part is actually pausing to do one. BreatheFill keeps a guided mindfulness break one click away, without any of the overhead of a wellness app.
