Pomodoro Stretch Timer

Overview
A simple Pomodoro stretch timer to protect your eyes and boost productivity.
■ Intuitive and Simple Usage Set Alarm Interval and Volume Click the extension icon in the upper right corner to open the popup window. To use the default setting, simply leave the interval at 25 minutes and the volume as is, then click the [Start] button to schedule the timer. If necessary, enter your desired interval (in minutes, up to 60 minutes), adjust the volume using the bottom slider, and click [Start]. Instant Status Confirmation Once the alarm starts, a confirmation message like "25m later: Break reserved!" will appear at the bottom of the popup, and the timer will begin running in the background. System Notification & Alarm Sound When the scheduled time is reached, a system popup notification will appear: "🍅 Sweet break time! Rest your eyes for a moment! Look far away and stretch." Simultaneously, a relaxing alarm sound will play to clearly signal your break time. Background Running Status While the timer is running, a green 'ON' badge will be displayed on the extension icon in the browser toolbar. Hover your mouse over the icon at any time to easily check the current status via a tooltip: 'Pomodoro Timer (Running 🟢)'. How to Stop the Alarm To stop the currently playing music, simply click the extension icon to open the popup. To completely cancel a scheduled alarm, enter 0 in the interval input and click the [Start] button. A "Timer canceled" message will appear. ■ The Perfect Solution for Productivity and Health: Pomodoro Stretch Timer People who sit at a desk in front of a PC for long periods often fail to realize the toll it takes on their body and eyes. This extension was developed to enforce healthy PC usage habits and boost productivity by prompting users to look away from the monitor and take a break. It can be used not only for the Pomodoro technique to maintain deep focus but also as a timer for regular eye relaxation and stretching. We strongly recommend it for individuals with diabetic symptoms who require periodic physical movement for blood sugar management, or anyone looking to reduce physical fatigue. ■ Scientific Basis: Pomodoro Technique & The 20-20-20 Rule We combined the "Pomodoro Technique" (25 minutes of deep focus followed by a 5-minute break) with the "20-20-20 rule," a digital device usage guideline proposed by the American Optometric Association (AOA). Taking regular breaks—such as looking at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds after 25 minutes of work—effectively prevents eye strain, dry eye syndrome, and physical fatigue while maximizing your work efficiency.
