Shelf
Overview
A staging shelf between tabs. Drag text, links, and images onto it; switch tabs; drag them off or insert with one click.
Ever copy something, switch tabs, and lose it before you can paste? Shelf is a small side panel where things wait until you need them. DRAG ANYTHING IN Drag selected text, links, or images onto the shelf — or right-click and "Add to Shelf". Each item becomes a sticky note, tag, or polaroid sitting on a wooden shelf. DRAG ANYTHING OUT The panel stays open while you switch tabs. Drag items into any text field, editor, or upload area — or click ⤵ to insert into the last-focused field (works in Google Docs). Shift-click ⤵ replaces the field's contents. Clicking an item copies it. NOTHING GETS LOST Removed items go to History, where they can be restored or dragged out later. Adding the same thing twice just moves it to the top. Turn on "Remove after drop" and the shelf becomes a conveyor belt: drop it somewhere and it files itself away. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays in your browser's local storage. No accounts, no servers, no tracking, no analytics. Site access is optional and only requested if you use one-click insert. Alt+Shift+S opens the panel.
