Free AI API turns the freeaiapi.org directory into a browser side-panel companion that removes the friction of trying free AI APIs. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Browse a live, curated catalog of free AI APIs for text generation, image generation, and Text-to-Speech. • Get an API key with guided signup steps shown beside the provider page. • Store and manage multiple BYOK API keys locally in your browser; label, validate, and set defaults. • Try models in a full multi-conversation playground, switching provider or model mid-chat. • Generate Fish Audio MP3 speech with an optional Voice ID, in-panel preview, and direct download. Audio remains only for the current side-panel session. • Read the latest freeaiapi.org articles and guides in the Articles tab. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN • API keys are stored in the browser’s local extension storage and used only to call the provider selected by the user. • Keys, prompts, and generated results never reach Free AI API servers. Requests go directly from the browser to the selected AI provider. • Provider-domain permission is requested only when the user runs or validates that provider. The extension never browses sites on its own.
