NewsGuard — Prop Firm News Blackout Countdown
Overview
Live countdown to the next high-impact econ release (NFP, CPI, FOMC) and your firm's news-trading policy, at a glance.
NewsGuard puts a live countdown to the next high-impact economic release right in your toolbar — NFP, CPI, FOMC, PPI, Retail Sales — so you stop finding out about news the hard way, mid-position. WHAT IT DOES - Pulls the live economic calendar in the background (refreshed hourly) - Shows a running countdown to the next high or medium-impact USD release - Surfaces your prop firm's actual news-trading policy next to the countdown, sourced and clearly flagged where a rule couldn't be independently verified - Fires a desktop notification before the release hits (15 min default, Pro lets you set your own lead time) WHO IT'S FOR Futures and index traders on prop-firm accounts who've been caught off guard by a news spike, or whose firm has real rules about trading through scheduled releases — pick your firm from the built-in list to see its specific policy. FREE vs PRO Free shows the next high-impact event and a 15-minute notification lead time. Pro ($7.99/mo) unlocks the full week's calendar (including medium-impact events) and a custom notification lead time from 5 to 60 minutes. DATA Calendar data comes from a public economic-calendar feed. Nothing you do inside the extension is sent to us — see the privacy policy for details.
