Listen, don't read any web article. Readity turns the article you are looking at, into natural-sounding speech, and highlights each word as it is spoken so you can follow along on the page itself. No reader view, no copy-paste, no sending yourself links to read later. WHY YOU MIGHT WANT IT Because there is more worth reading than there is time to sit and read it. Readity is for the article you saved and never got back to, the long report you need to get through before a meeting, and the evenings when your eyes are done but your reading list is not. It is also simply for people who take things in better by ear. YOU WILL NEED A READITY ACCOUNT Readity reads in its own neural voices, generated for your account — so signing in comes first. Click the icon while signed out and it takes you straight to sign-in; click it again on the article and it reads. THE VOICES Voices that sound like a person rather than a screen reader — 28 of them across 8 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese and Mandarin. Readity notices which language the page is in and picks a matching voice, so a French article starts reading in French. The same subscription works in the Readity app for iPhone. Start an article at your desk and finish it on the train; your place is kept across both.
