My Desktop Tab replaces your browser's new tab page with a simple, fully customizable dashboard. Features: • Quick links — create your own shortcuts with an icon (automatic favicon, uploaded image, or URL) and an optional subtitle; rename them right on their tile from the right-click menu. • Bookmarks — browse your personal bookmarks bar directly, including subfolders, with a choice of display (tiles or list). • Folders — organize your quick links AND bookmarks together in folders, each with its own custom icon and a "Back" tile to navigate up easily. • Column layout — several adjustable columns, each displayable as tiles or a list, fixed or automatic width; right-click in a column to add a link or folder straight into it. • Per-folder settings — customize the wallpaper and layout individually for the home page or any folder; a folder without custom settings automatically inherits its parent folder's, or the home page's in one click. • Reordering — drag and drop your tiles to change their order, including across columns. • Custom icons — automatic favicon (kept locally so it shows up offline), an image uploaded from your computer, or an image URL (downloaded and kept locally); copy and paste an icon, uploaded or favicon, from one tile to another from the right-click menu, within the same tab. • Colors — system color (folders, active elements...), text color, clock color, and tile/tile-hover colors, all independently customizable. • Display — tile width and height, grid width, tile title hideable in "Tiles" view: everything is adjustable in settings. • Clock — 12-hour or 24-hour time display, adjustable size and color, can be toggled on/off. • Wallpaper — solid color, custom gradient, or an image uploaded from your computer, with a choice of fit mode (cover, contain, tile, or center). • Tab title — customize the title shown on the browser tab, instead of "New Tab". • Multilingual — French, English, Italian, Spanish, German (automatic detection of your browser's language). • Multi-browser — My Desktop Tab is available on Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Opera. Your links, folders, settings and custom icons transfer identically when you export your configuration from one browser and import it into another (only pinned native bookmarks will need to be re-pinned, since their identifier is specific to each browser's own bookmarks store). • Export / Import — back up your configuration to a file, favicons included, to restore or transfer it easily (the file is validated on re-import to prevent corrupted data). • Search — instantly find a link, folder, or bookmark by title, URL, or keyword, without leaving the page. • Keywords — tag your links and folders, then manage all your keywords (rename, delete) from a dedicated panel. • Feed notifications — subscribe to XML feeds (RSS/Atom) and see their latest articles in a discreet feed at the bottom of the screen (position, width, colors and image size are all customizable), with a per-subscription importance score to surface your priority feeds. • Protected folders — encrypt a folder and all its contents with a password (AES-256-GCM, fully local) via the dedicated lock icon; unlocking only applies to the current tab, and the folder becomes invisible again in any new tab. • Pinned folder — pin a folder (dedicated toolbar icon, shown while you're inside a folder) so it opens directly on every new tab instead of the home page; only one folder can be pinned at a time, and unpinning it with one click returns you to the home page. A pinned protected folder still opens to the home page while it remains locked. Privacy: All data (links, folders, settings, images, feed subscriptions) is stored only locally in your browser (browser.storage.local or chrome.storage.local). No data is collected, transmitted, or shared with any external server. The only network requests made by the extension are downloading an icon image when you provide its URL yourself, fetching the favicon of the sites you add to your page (to display it and keep it locally), and periodically refreshing the content of the XML feeds you choose to subscribe to — always for sites you chose yourself.
