Overview

Print or save any Slides.com presentation as PDF and use the speaker view with your own notes, for free.

Slides.com Companion adds a few features that are missing from free Slides.com presentations. Open any presentation on slides.com and a small dark tab appears on the right edge of the slides. Hover over it (or reach it with the keyboard) to open the toolbar: • Print / Save as PDF – opens the presentation in Reveal.js's own print view, with one slide per page, and brings up the browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" to download the whole deck. When the dialog closes, you are back on the slide you were on. • Speaker View – opens the speaker notes window, with the current and next slide, your notes and a timer. • Notes – write speaker notes for each slide, even without a Slides.com subscription. They appear in the speaker view, also while it is open on another screen, and never end up in the PDF. From the extension popup you can hide or show the toolbar. The extension icon is coloured on tabs that contain a presentation and greyed out everywhere else. How it works Slides.com is built on Reveal.js. Printing uses Reveal.js's print view (?print-pdf) on the presentation's fullscreen page, so only the slides are printed. Nothing is downloaded from other servers: the PDF is made by your browser. Your notes are saved in your browser, in the extension's own storage, by presentation and slide: they stay on this computer, are not uploaded to Slides.com and are deleted if you remove the extension. Privacy Slides.com Companion collects no data, has no server, uses no analytics or tracking and makes no network requests. It only works on slides.com, and it saves only your toolbar setting and the notes you write, in your browser. Open source, MIT licence: https://github.com/leicaflorian/slides_com_companion Found a problem? Click "Report a problem on GitHub" in the popup: it opens a new GitHub issue with the extension version and your browser already filled in, which you can read and edit before sending it. Slides.com Companion is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Slides.com.
