GDG Exam Proctor
Overview
Locks the browser to approved exam URLs, enforces fullscreen, and monitors for rule violations during GDG club exams.
GDG Exam Proctor locks the browser to a set of approved exam URLs so students can't leave the exam page, browse unrelated sites, or open extra tabs during a timed GDG club exam. Once a student joins with their exam code, the extension: • Restricts navigation to the exam's approved URL(s) for the current round only • Enforces fullscreen mode and re-requests it automatically if exited • Blocks copy, cut, paste, and right-click during the exam • Detects and logs tab switches, new tabs, window blur, and incognito windows as violations • Shows a live timer, round progress, and violation count directly on the exam page • Automatically advances between rounds and prevents returning to a completed round • Reports all activity to the exam organizer's backend in real time, so proctors can monitor sessions as they happen Built for GDG (Google Developer Group) club coding exams and similar timed assessments where organizers need a lightweight, no-install browser lockdown without dedicated proctoring software. The extension is only active during a joined exam session — outside of an active exam it does not restrict browsing.
