EduGuardian Monitor

School classroom management: shares the active tab with the teacher, enforces school website rules, screen lock, and messages.

EduGuardian Monitor is a classroom management extension installed on student devices by schools using EduGuardian. What it does while a student is signed in with their school-issued EduGuardian account: Shares the active tab's URL and page title with the teacher during class, so it appears in the teacher's live monitoring view. Enforces the school's website rules: pages blocked by school policy show a full-screen "restricted" notice on the device. Students can request temporary access using a teacher-provided code. Supports teacher screen lock: during a class session, the teacher can pause browsing, which shows a lock notice until the teacher unlocks. Displays teacher announcements and messages, shared assignments and links, and lets students accept or decline a teacher-initiated voice/video call or screen-share request. What it does not do: it does not read page content, form input, passwords, email, or files — only the URL and title of the active tab. Students can see monitoring status in the popup at any time. This extension only functions with an EduGuardian school account and is intended to be deployed by school administrators.
