Content-blind writing records for text fields.

possiblymadebyahuman lets you keep and share a record of how your writing developed, without uploading the writing itself. It records editing activity—timing, insertions, deletions, and operations such as typing and pasting. It does not determine whether text was written by a human or AI, or prove authorship. You choose when recording begins. Right-click a supported text field or editor and select “Start writing record,” use Alt+Shift+W, or start from the extension’s side panel. Simply focusing a field or typing does not activate recording. You can start in an empty field or one that already contains text. Only edits made after you start are recorded; earlier writing and edits made while recording is stopped are not reconstructed. Editing positions, lengths, and sources are recorded where the browser makes them measurable. Unavailable measurements remain unknown. Keep separate writing records for different editors, pause a session, and explicitly resume it later—even after restarting your browser. Unfinished records and saved links do not expire automatically. The extension does not save or restore your document text. When you choose “Finish & get link,” review the page URL, title, and label before publishing. You can edit or remove that context. The extension uploads the editing record and gives you a public link to open, copy, and share. Publication normally includes a text check computed locally from your selected text or the whole field. This allows someone with candidate text to check whether its wording matches, without including the text in the public record. The check uses letters and digits rather than exact formatting. It can also be used to test guesses about the wording; it is not encryption. Your document text is never stored by the extension or uploaded to the service. The extension may briefly read text locally to measure edits and compute the text check. While recording, it sends small cryptographic checkpoints and event counts to the service; the full editing record is uploaded only when you confirm publication. Published records are public and cannot be deleted through the extension. Removing a saved link only removes it from your browser.
