Histex turns your browsing history and bookmarks into files you actually own. Pick a date range, filter by site, preview the result and save it as a spreadsheet, a data file or a plain list of links. Free, unlimited and completely offline. WHY HISTEX • Exports the whole range you pick. Many tools stop at the first 100 results; Histex pages through everything. • Real files, built on your device. No converter websites, no upload, no account, no network requests at all. • Spreadsheets that open cleanly in Excel: proper quoting, an encoding option and a separator setting for European locales. • Bookmarks can be saved as an HTML file that any browser imports back (chrome://bookmarks → Import). HISTORY • Date range: today, the last week, month, quarter or year, all time, or custom dates • Search titles and addresses; include or exclude sites • Choose the columns: title, address, site, last visit, visit count, typed count • Preview and top sites before exporting BOOKMARKS • Whole tree or selected folders, with the folder path in every row • Same file types as history, plus the file that browsers import PRIVACY • Your history and bookmarks are read only when you export and never leave the device. • Histex makes no network requests: no analytics, no accounts, no servers. • Optional usage counters stay on your device and are off by default. LIMITS TO KNOW • Chrome lets extensions read only the history stored in this browser profile — synced history from other devices and anything already cleared is not available to any extension. • Chrome cannot import browsing history back; bookmarks can.
