Privacy-First Bookmark Manager is a local-first browser extension that provides a modern dashboard for organizing bookmarks and bookmark folders. It is designed for users with large or messy bookmark libraries who want more control than the browser’s default bookmark manager—without accounts, analytics, cloud storage, or sending bookmark data to a project-owned server. HOW PERMISSIONS ARE USED • Bookmarks: Display and manage your browser bookmark library • Storage: Save local settings and bookmark metadata • Tabs: Open bookmarks and save or restore browser sessions • Notifications: Optionally notify you when bookmarks change • Website access: Requested only when you start an optional live link check Privacy-First Bookmark Manager never automatically deletes bookmarks or cleans duplicates. Organization rules move matching new bookmarks only after you explicitly create and enable those rules. All other organization actions remain under your control.
