OG Downloader is a simple tool for designers, marketers, editors, and anyone who needs share images and page assets without extra steps. OG Downloader finds Open Graph and other images on the current tab, shows a preview, and lets you download them in one click. Why use it • Save article covers, social share images, and site previews • Grab every image on a page — one by one or as a single ZIP • No digging through page source for image URLs Features • Reads og:image, Twitter Card, link rel="image_src", itemprop, vk:image, and JSON-LD • Shows preview, dimensions, format, and source (OG / Twitter, and more) • Saves to Downloads with a clear name: site-title.ext • Copy the image URL or open it in a new tab • If there are several candidates, pick a thumbnail • All images: pictures from the page (img, srcset, CSS backgrounds, inline SVG) • Filter by format: JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, GIF, AVIF • Select images and download them, or use Download ZIP • For SVG — copy the markup • Right-click the page → Download OG image • Shortcut Alt+Shift+O (Option+Shift+O on Mac) • Languages: English, Français, Русский, 中文 • Theme: light, dark, or system How to use 1. Open a regular website (http/https) 2. Click the OG Downloader icon in the toolbar 3. Download the OG image, or expand All images for the rest Chrome limits The extension cannot run on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, or PDFs — that is a browser restriction. Privacy • Works only on the active tab when you open the extension • Does not read history, cookies, or other tabs • Does not send your data to our servers • Language and theme are stored locally in chrome.storage Permissions • activeTab / scripting — read meta tags and page images • downloads — save files • host permissions — fetch the image from a CDN when a direct save is blocked • storage — remember language and theme • contextMenus / clipboardWrite — context menu and copying the URL
