Overview

Turn YouTube live and replay chat into Canvas danmaku over the video via InnerTube API.

Watch YouTube live streams and chat replays with scrolling danmaku overlaid on the video. Features: • Live and replay chat shown as Canvas danmaku on the player • Fetches chat through YouTube’s own endpoints in your browser session (does not depend on the side chat panel being open) • Adjustable font size, opacity, and scroll speed • Pause freezes on-screen danmaku • Chat stickers and custom emojis appear in danmaku • Consistent color per nickname • Popup UI in English or Traditional Chinese Privacy: • Only the “storage” permission is used, to save your settings locally • No analytics, ads, or data sent to the developer v1.1.0 • Chat is now fetched via YouTube’s InnerTube live chat / replay APIs instead of scraping the chat DOM • Removed “hide official chat” option v1.2.0 • Fixed live danmaku stopping after a while while API requests continued (always advance chat continuation tokens) • Fixed settings sometimes not applying, and popup values resetting after reopen (local storage + debounced saves) • Hint users to close YouTube’s official chat panel for smoother performance
