Overview

X/Twitter unfollow manager with bulk unfollow, non-followers cleaner, smart filters, safety limits, analytics & CSV export

Unfollow hundreds of accounts on X (Twitter) without clicking hundreds of times. X Unfollow Manager Pro is a bulk unfollow extension for X, formerly Twitter. It reads your following list, finds the accounts that don't follow you back, and unfollows them at a human pace while you get on with something else. Sessions keep running when the tab is in the background, so you can start a cleanup and walk away. Free. No login. No API key. It works on your own X session, right in the browser. WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES Open your Following list, click Start, and the extension works down the list on its own. It scrolls, loads more accounts as it goes, checks each one against your filters, and unfollows the ones that qualify. When X stops serving more of the list, it reloads and carries on until there's nobody left to remove or you hit your daily cap. That last part matters. Most unfollow tools quit after twenty or thirty accounts because X only sends so much of your following list per page load. This one keeps going. BULK UNFOLLOW NON-FOLLOWERS One click targets only the accounts that never followed you back. Your mutuals stay untouched. If you'd rather clear the whole list, Unfollow All does that instead, still subject to whatever filters you've turned on. KEEP THE ACCOUNTS YOU CARE ABOUT Filters run before every single action, so nothing you want to keep gets caught in a sweep: - Skip anyone who follows you back - Skip verified and blue-check accounts - Skip private and protected accounts - Skip accounts matching your own keyword list, like "team", "client" or "partner" - Whitelist specific handles by name - Optional low-score cleanup that reads Moni scores and removes only accounts below a threshold you set HUMAN-PACED SESSIONS Bursts of activity are what get accounts rate limited. This runs slowly on purpose: - Random delay between each unfollow, which you set yourself - Automatic cooldown after every batch, six minutes by default - A rolling 15-minute action budget and a separate daily budget - Stops on its own if X shows a verification prompt, rather than pushing through it Every one of these numbers is adjustable in Settings if the defaults are too cautious or not cautious enough for you. RUNS IN BACKGROUND TABS Start a session, switch tabs, minimise Chrome, go and do something else. The session keeps running. Most unfollow tools stall the moment the tab loses focus because browsers throttle background timers. This one is built around that problem instead of ignoring it, and it picks a session back up automatically if Chrome ever discards the tab to save memory. LIVE PROGRESS AND HISTORY - Toolbar badge shows a live count and changes colour with session state - Real-time panel with accounts removed, current rate per minute, elapsed time and a countdown to the next action - Every unfollowed account is logged locally with handle, profile link and timestamp - Export the whole log to CSV whenever you want, handy if you ever need to re-follow someone - Lifetime counter across all your sessions Pause, resume and stop are all one click, at any point. WHO USES IT Creators and KOLs tightening up their follower-to-following ratio. Social media managers running several accounts. Marketers clearing out ghost and spam follows. And anyone who followed a few thousand people over the years and wants the list to look like something they chose. Works the same whether you follow 300 accounts or 30,000. PRIVACY - No login, no password, no API key. It uses the X session you're already signed into. - Your unfollow history stays on your device, in chrome.storage.local. It is never uploaded. - The extension sends anonymous usage statistics: a random install ID and action counts, used to catch bugs and monitor reliability. No X usernames, no profile content, no browsing history, no personal information. - Full policy: [YOUR PRIVACY POLICY URL] HOW TO USE IT 1. Install the extension 2. Go to x.com and open your own Following list at x.com/yourhandle/following 3. Click the extension icon in your toolbar 4. Pick Unfollow Non-Followers or Unfollow All 5. Set your delays and filters in Settings first if you want to 6. Start it, then switch tabs or minimise Chrome 7. Come back later for the final count SETTINGS Minimum and maximum delay - random wait between actions. Longer is gentler on your account. 20 to 45 seconds is a sensible range. Max unfollows per session - hard stop for a single run. Default 100. Daily limit - hard stop across all runs in a rolling 24 hours, so a long session can't quietly overshoot. Cooldown after N actions - pauses for several minutes after every batch. Default is a 6 minute rest every 12 unfollows. Run in background - on by default. Turn it off if you'd rather sessions pause when the tab isn't visible. Skip follows me - protects every mutual relationship. Skip verified / Skip protected - leaves blue-check and private accounts alone. Keyword protection - comma-separated words. Any account whose name or bio row contains one is protected. Low-score cleanup - reads Moni scores and only removes accounts below your chosen threshold. Stop on challenge - ends the session if X shows a verification prompt instead of continuing. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I unfollow everyone on X? Open your Following list, click the extension, and choose Unfollow All. Turn off the filters you don't want first, or it will skip protected accounts. How do I see who doesn't follow me back on X? Run Preview mode. It walks the list and shows you which accounts don't follow you back without unfollowing anything. Is this a free unfollow tool? Yes. No subscription, no account, no paid tier. Does it keep running when I switch tabs? Yes, that's the point of it. Background sessions are on by default. Why do other unfollow extensions stop after 20 or 30 accounts? X only serves part of your following list per page load, and it recycles rows out of the page as you scroll. Tools that watch page height think the list has ended. This one tracks accounts it has actually seen and reloads the list to fetch the rest. How many accounts can I unfollow per day? You decide, but slower is safer. X applies its own daily action limits and they vary by account age and standing. The built-in daily budget defaults to a conservative number and stops the session when it's reached. Will bulk unfollowing get my account limited? No tool can promise that it won't. Random delays, cooldowns and daily caps exist to keep activity within a normal range, and the session stops by itself if X shows a verification prompt. Use conservative settings, especially on a newer account. Can I protect certain accounts? Yes. Whitelist handles directly, add keywords from their name or bio, or turn on Skip Verified, Skip Protected and Skip Follows Me. Does it work on twitter.com as well as x.com? Yes, both. Can I get my unfollow history out? Yes. One-click CSV export with handle, profile URL, timestamp and session mode.
