X-Ray Image Downloader shows what a web page is really made of. Point at any spot and a side panel lists every graphic stacked there, from front to back. That includes the ones a normal right-click can't reach: CSS backgrounds, inline SVG and icon fonts. Main features - Download Image in the right-click menu: every layer under the pointer, from the photo on top to the background behind it. - Select area: drag a box over part of the page, like a screenshot tool, and get each picture it touches. Whole view takes everything currently on screen. - Sharp at any size: save SVGs and icon fonts as PNG at 512, 1024 or 2048 px, or enter your own size up to 8192 px. They are redrawn from the vector, so even a 16 px icon stays crisp. - Original quality: when a site offers several sizes of the same photo, you get the largest one with its real file type. - Every card can copy the picture as PNG, copy its link or open it in a new tab. Download all saves the whole list as separate files. - Less clutter: switch off formats you don't need in the toolbar popup, and pick a preview backdrop that keeps white icons visible. - Still frames: keep the frame a video is showing right now as a picture, when the site allows it. The video itself is never saved. Getting started 1. Right-click anything on a page and choose Download Image. 2. Or open the toolbar popup and choose Pick a point or Select area. The shortcuts are Alt+Shift+X and Alt+Shift+A (Option+Shift+X and Option+Shift+A on Mac), and you can change them on the extensions shortcuts page. 3. Click Download on a card to keep the original, or open the arrow next to it to choose a size. Privacy Everything runs in your browser. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is sent to the developer. Content is only requested from the site that already hosts it, and your preferences stay on this device. Good to know Chrome doesn't allow extensions on its own internal pages or in the Chrome Web Store, so the tools are switched off there. Local files work once you allow file access for this extension. Please save only pictures you have the right to use.
