x-origin - Crowdsourced Country Filter for X (Twitter)
Overview
x-origin reveals account locations and filters content on X (Twitter) using a crowdsourced cache.
x-origin displays X’s hidden “Account Based In” metadata right where you actually need it. Instead of digging through the About tab, every tweet, reply, search result, and profile header now shows the account’s origin badge inline, using the same public data X already exposes. Key Features: - Instant Visibility: See the account's country of origin at a glance. Choose flags, ISO codes, or full country names to match your workflow. - Data Caching: Pulls from (and contributes to) a shared cache for instant lookups while honoring API limits. - Content Filtering: Add specific countries to your block list to automatically collapse tweets from those regions into a compact, hidden card. - Proxy Detection: Suspected VPN/Proxy origins get a warning badge so you can triage low-signal accounts fast. Privacy & Security: x-origin runs entirely in your browser context. It reads only public profile metadata on X, never sends your auth tokens anywhere, and doesn’t monitor browsing activity outside of twitter.com / x.com.
