X Media Vault lets you save publicly available images, videos, and GIFs from X/Twitter posts directly to your computer. Everything is processed locally in your browser — no account required, no media uploads, and no third-party downloader websites. Whether you are a creator saving inspiration, a researcher archiving reference material, or someone who wants to keep useful public post media organized, X Media Vault gives you a clean and reliable way to save media locally. FEATURES • Save media from public X/Twitter posts Click the “Save Media” button that appears on posts while browsing X or Twitter. Images, videos, and animated GIFs are saved directly to your device. • Images, videos, and GIF support Save public post images, videos, and animated GIFs. GIFs are saved as MP4 files when available. • Organized filenames Files are automatically named with useful details such as username, post ID, date, media type, and file index. Example: username_tweetId_date_video_01.mp4 • Folder organization Optionally group downloads by username and/or post ID so your saved media stays easy to find. • Download queue A clear queue panel shows every file’s status: Waiting, Downloading, Done, or Failed. • Retry failed downloads If a download fails, retry a single item or retry all failed items at once. • Configurable download concurrency Choose between: 1 · Safe 3 · Recommended 5 · Fast • Popup Queue and Settings Use the extension popup to monitor recent downloads, clear completed items, retry failed downloads, and customize filename settings. • Custom filename templates Build your own filename pattern using: {username}, {tweetId}, {date}, {type}, {index}, and {ext} PRIVACY & SAFETY • Local-only processing X Media Vault saves media directly from X/Twitter’s media sources to your device through Chrome’s native download system. • No media upload The extension does not upload media files to any server. • No login required X Media Vault does not ask for, store, or transmit your X/Twitter credentials. • No data collection The extension does not collect, sell, or share personal information, browsing history, or usage analytics. • Minimal permissions The extension only requests the permissions required to save user-selected media files and remember local settings. HOW IT WORKS 1. Browse X or Twitter normally. 2. Find a public post with media. 3. Click the “Save Media” button. 4. The media is added to the download queue. 5. Track progress in the floating queue panel or the popup Queue tab. 6. Customize filenames and folders in Settings.
