X Assistant adds optional reading and writing controls to X and Reddit. It works locally in Chrome and never posts on your behalf. KEY FEATURES 1. EDITABLE REPLY DRAFTS Focus an empty reply box on X or Reddit, open the sparkle button, and choose Fight Back, Calm, Supportive, or Witty. X Assistant uses the visible conversation as context and inserts a draft that you can edit, clear, or post yourself. It never overwrites existing text or clicks Reply or Comment. Drafting uses Chrome's built-in AI on supported devices. A visible timer shows how long generation has taken. Longer Reddit drafts are formatted into short, readable paragraphs. 2. X THREAD SUMMARIES Summarize the original author's loaded thread without leaving the conversation, or include replies already loaded on the page to capture the main viewpoints. The original posts stay unchanged. 3. A FOLLOWING-FIRST HOME FEED Open X Home on Following by default while keeping For You available. 4. BACKGROUND CONVERSATION TABS Open a post's conversation in a background tab without losing your position in the feed. 5. REVERSIBLE X CLEANUP Reduce Grok controls, de-emphasize posts explicitly marked as promoted, and optionally dim repetitive or engagement-bait replies. Matching content stays in place and becomes fully visible on hover or keyboard focus. 6. ON-DEMAND TRANSLATION Translate a visible X post, Reddit post, or Reddit comment while keeping the original content unchanged. Multiple Reddit translations can remain open for comparison. 7. REDDIT READING TOOLS Jump between replies from the original poster that are already loaded, open feed posts in background tabs, and optionally collapse AutoModerator comment bodies with a clear restore action. 8. SEVEN INTERFACE LANGUAGES Use English, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, or Korean for the popup, page controls, summaries, and reply drafts. PRIVATE AND USER-CONTROLLED Visible page content is processed inside Chrome. X Assistant has no analytics, tracking, advertising, remote code, or account automation. Settings stay on the device. Each feature is optional. Reddit access is requested only when Reddit support is enabled and can be removed from the popup. If Chrome's built-in AI is unavailable, X Assistant reports that instead of uploading the request. Works on x.com, twitter.com, and reddit.com.
