X-Anti-Slop
Overview
Hide posts on X using your own regular-expression filters.
I made X-Anti-Slop because X/Twitter's muted words don't support regular expressions. It hides posts that match patterns you choose. Add, edit, or disable filters and test them on sample text before saving. Matching posts can leave a small notice with a Show button, or disappear from the feed entirely. Open the settings card between More and Post on X. On a narrow screen, the card becomes an icon. Click the star beside an account's name to whitelist it. Quotes are checked separately, so a matching quote can be hidden without hiding the author's comment. The default filter matches em dashes and guillemets: — « ». You can change or remove it. These are text matches, so they can also hide ordinary posts with the same punctuation. Filters and account preferences stay in your browser. The extension sends no post text or settings to a server and uses no analytics. It checks text loaded by X, not images, videos, or the full text of unexpanded posts.
