HOW IT WORKS When you select text on any webpage, WriteSmith detects where you are and shows the most relevant tools. Writing an email? You'll see tools for professional communication and tone adjustment. Browsing a job listing? You'll see tools to build a tailored application pack. Working on a document? You'll see grammar checking, paraphrasing, and humanisation tools. The extension adapts automatically so you always see what's useful for the page you're on. Select text, click the small floating button that appears, and pick a tool. The result appears in a slide-in overlay where you can replace your original text in-place, copy the result to your clipboard, or open it on writesmith.ai for further editing. In-place replacement works inside email composers, post editors, comment boxes, and any standard text input across the web. Keyboard shortcuts: press Cmd+Shift+E on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows to open the tool menu. Press Cmd+Shift+U or Ctrl+Shift+U to humanise selected text instantly without opening the menu. No page content is read unless you explicitly select text and activate a tool. Text is never stored, read by our team, sold, or used for training.
