Write Lens is a free AI writing assistant for Chrome. Open the side panel, chat to draft, rewrite, shorten, translate, or polish, then Insert or Replace into Gmail and most web text fields. No account. WHAT YOU GET • Side panel chat next to the page you are writing • Agents for rewrite, shorten, fix grammar, translate, and email • Insert and Replace into the field you clicked • Works in Gmail, comments, tickets, and many browser editors • AI drafts via Write Lens cloud — no API key in the extension • No account required WHO IT IS FOR Students, ESL writers, support teams, founders, and anyone who writes in the browser and wants a lightweight AI writing assistant. HOW IT WORKS Click the toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+W) to open the side panel. Chat as usual, or click an agent to rewrite the current field. Sending a message posts your prompt to the Write Lens cloud (write-lens.vercel.app). If you use an agent on the field, the selected or current text may be included.
