Overview

Honest BUY / WAIT / SKIP / FAIR verdicts on Amazon deals from our price research — judged on the price you actually see.

Amazon's "50% off" is often a lie. worthitforyou tells you the truth. Open any Amazon product page and this extension shows a clear, honest verdict — BUY, WAIT, SKIP, or FAIR — based on a year of the item's real selling prices: • BUY — at or near its yearly low and genuinely below the everyday price. • WAIT — it dips lower than this on a regular cycle; hold off. • SKIP — the "discount" is fake: it's basically the everyday price, or a "was" price that never really held. • FAIR — a normal price. Nothing special, nothing shady. Why it's different: — It judges the price YOU actually see. Prime-exclusive and coupon prices that other tools miss get judged correctly, because the verdict is computed against the exact price on your screen. — It's built on real recorded selling prices, not hype or a made-up "list price." — One honest verdict. No fake urgency, no "lowest price ever!" on an everyday price. How it works: 1. Go to any Amazon product page — a small badge appears bottom-right. (Nothing is sent anywhere yet.) 2. Click it, then tap "Check if it's worth it →". Only then do we read our price research and show the verdict, the usual price, the year's low and our "fair price." 3. It judges the exact price on your screen — if that's lower than what we last recorded, it says so honestly ("looks like a Prime or coupon price?"). 4. Tap "See the full research →" for the complete year of prices on worthitforyou.com. Privacy, plainly: nothing leaves your browser until you click "Check." Then the extension sends only the product's ID (ASIN) and the price shown on the page to our own server to compute the verdict. No accounts. No sign-in. No tracking. No browsing history. Nothing is stored or sold. See our privacy policy. worthitforyou.com is funded by affiliate links — the verdict is computed exactly the same either way. We'd rather tell you to SKIP a fake deal than earn a commission on it. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and any Chromium browser (Manifest V3). Four things I changed and why: step 4 no longer offers a price-drop alert (that feature is gone and the wording is exactly what Amazon objected to); "price trackers" → "other tools"; "12-month price history" → "a year of real selling prices" / "price research", matching the Amazon-distance wording on the site; and the affiliate line no longer says "uses Amazon affiliate links" specifically. Screenshots: keep the existing five, they're still accurate. Privacy practices tab — all unchanged Single purpose: Show an honest deal verdict (BUY / WAIT / SKIP / FAIR) on Amazon product pages, based on the item's real 12-month price history, judged against the price the user currently sees on the page. Host permission https://worthitforyou.com/*: The extension sends the product's ASIN and the on-page price to our own API at worthitforyou.com/api/verdict to compute the verdict. Host permission is required to make that single request from the background service worker. Host access https://www.amazon.com/*: Required to read the product ID (ASIN) and the displayed price on Amazon product pages, and to inject the small verdict card. The script runs only on Amazon product pages and does nothing on any other site. Remote code: No · Data collection: everything No except Website content = Yes ("the product's ASIN + displayed price, sent to our server to compute the verdict; not stored, not linked to any identity") · All three certifications: tick all — still true. Privacy policy URL: https://www.worthitforyou.com/privacy Version notes Removes the "Buy on Amazon" button from the verdict card; it now links to worthitforyou.com for the full price research. No change to permissions or data handling. Then Submit for review. ✻ Cooked for 32s
